Callan Jones

Director

 

Callan Jones is the director and founder of Simple Secure Finance. Callan spent 10 years at one of the UK’s top five banks, where he supported businesses across a variety of sectors, from construction to recruitment, with their commercial finance requirements.

Callan founded Simple Secure Finance in 2016 because he wanted to use his extensive knowledge of the industry’s range of commercial finance offerings to ensure that his clients would always benefit from the most suitable form of funding and at the most competitive rates.

Callan enjoys getting to know the businesses that he works with and the challenge to improve upon the offerings of any current lender. Transparency and honesty are important features in the Simple Secure Finance business model and Callan does not shy away from giving his clients all the facts about the lenders and offers that he secures, including whether there may be benefits in remaining with any current lender.

Callan is originally from South Wales and enjoys walking, cycling, playing golf and has a passion for rugby, cars and boats.


Steve Kilby

Steve Kilby

Senior Manager

Steve has worked in the Invoice Finance & Asset Finance industry for the last 18 years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience working for large banking corporations and independent invoice finance providers.

His career started with The Royal Bank of Scotland Invoice Finance and extends to working with Bibby Financial Services, ABN AMRO Commercial Finance, Aldermore Bank and Investec Capital Solutions.

With Steve’s experience managing clients as well as helping businesses to structure new facilities, Simple Secure Finance are well placed to meet your working capital needs. Steve said “I like to spend time with businesses to understand their needs and to build long term relationships. Our clients are our number one priority and we are focused on providing the best solution to help businesses to meet their short, medium or long term goals.”


Robert Gilks

Business Development Manager

Robert has built a robust specialism in the hospitality sector for the majority of his career gaining a wealth of operational and strategic experience across well-known leisure brands such as TGI Fridays, Turtle Bay, Mitchells & Butlers New Concepts and Wahaca.

He built a solid reputation as a trouble shooter and his adeptness for devising and delivering turnaround plans which achieved significant improvements  across the businesses he worked in.  His key achievements were to bring increased productivity, improved staff management and retention and ultimately good financial control to ensure improved profitability at times preventing business closures and loss of jobs.  Having also run his own events business delivering bespoke events, he moved into consultancy before deciding to use his skills in a different direction.

Robert will work with the wider SSF team to provide commercial finance advice to UK businesses who are looking to access innovative finance to support their business aspirations.


Tahlia Spink

Tahlia Spink

Admin Assistant

 

Tahlia Spink works part time at Simple Secure Finance helping with the administration of the business.

Unfortunately for Simple Secure Finance, Tahlia will not be here in the long term as she is currently studying to become a doctor. Good luck Tahlia!
